The National Eagle Scout Association

The National Eagle Scout Association (NESA) was launched in 1972. NESA is designed for young men searching for dynamic and challenging leadership roles. NESA is older Eagle Scouts who desire to help form the kind of young men America needs for leadership. The objective of NESA is to serve—to serve Eagle Scouts as a resource. NESA seeks to provide continuity for Eagles after they leave scouting and pursue their life endeavors.

One NESA activity is to provide scholarships to Eagle Scouts. NESA awards about 150 $1000 merit scholarships per year. In addition, a number of academic scholarships of $2500-$3000, four academic scholarships of $20,000, and one of $48,000 are available. NESA offers two additional academic scholarships including one $50,000 STEM scholarship to an applicant who plans to major in a science, technology, engineering, or math field, and one $25,000 United Health Foundation scholarship offered to an applicant who plans to pursue a career in the healthcare arena and is willing to reinvest his knowledge and skills in an underserved community.
